Membership & Liability Waiver
Congratulations on becoming a member at ZAZAWA Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. We feature the most advanced BJJ facility in the area. To help ensure your safe and enjoyable learning and training experience, we have established the following rules and regulations that we require everyone to follow. Please note that from time to time we may find it necessary to amend or add to these rules and regulations. Rules and regulations may also be orally communicated to you or placed on signs posted on the walls. Please review and familiarise yourself with them. Please contact the manager if you have any questions.
CHECKING IN
Please arrive ten minutes early. If you are late for the start of class, wait for the instructor’s attention and ask permission to join. Members must be in good standing (that is, paid to date) to join class.
GUEST PRIVILEGES
Members are invited to bring or send guests to ZAZAWA for an introductory visit for the purpose of introducing them as potential members. Subject to ZAZAWA’s manager's approval, members may bring or send as many guests as they desire. However, members may bring or send only three guests at any one time and the same person may not visit as a guest of any member more than once in a 90-day period. Guests must be 18 years of age or older. We reserve the right to discontinue guest privileges, in whole or in part, for the general benefit of the facility.
DRESS CODE
We reserve the right to deny use of the facility to any person whose attire we do not consider to be appropriate in connection with the public image of our facility and our rules and regulations. No profane language or slogans on any attire in the club is permitted.
No shoes, jewellery, piercings and/or any sharp objects allowed on the mat area. You must wear shoes or flip flops when you are not on the mat.
LOCKER ROOM
All personal effects such as jackets, shoes or gym bags should be placed at designated areas. We recommend that members and guests do not bring valuables into the facility. We are not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Pursuant to your membership contract, you have waived any right to sue ZAZAWA for lost or stolen articles. Any personal articles left over night may be placed in the lost and found. We accept no responsibility for articles left behind.
OTHER PROGRAMS
Pilates, yoga and other classes may be available. Class size, schedules and fees vary.
PERSONAL CONDUCT
Members and guests are subject to the control and guidance of ZAZAWA’s instructors and must follow their instructions while at the facility. Members and guests agree to conduct themselves in a quiet and well-mannered fashion when in or about the facility and not cause any disturbances or interfere with the safe use or enjoyment of the facility by other members and guests. Members or guests shall not conduct, purchase or subscribe to any commercial business or activity on the facilities premises or solicit other members or guests for any reason without ZAZAWA’s prior written consent. Under no circumstances shall members or guests interfere with ZAZAWA’s conduct of its business. Any complaints (other than those of an emergency nature or requiring immediate attention by personnel) shall be made directly to the manager, in private.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Please check with ZAZAWA’s social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram and Website) for the days and hours of operation. Days and hours of operation may be changed at discretion.
NO SMOKING
In the interest of providing a healthy and safe environment for our members and guests, our facility adheres to a no smoking policy. The use of any type of tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco, within the facility is prohibited.
TELEPHONES
No phone calls allowed in the training area. Phones should be kept on silent during class hours.
FOOD AND DRINK
Food is not permitted in any area. You may carry beverages in covered plastic containers; no glass containers are permitted at the facility. Please properly dispose of all drinking containers and waste in the trash receptacles.
MEMBER'S RESPONSIBILITY
You should consult with your physician before training at our facility. You understand and acknowledge that we have no expertise in diagnosing, examining or treating any medical condition. You agree you will not use the facility with any medical condition, including open cuts, abrasions, sores, infections, maladies or inability to maintain personal hygiene, if such a condition poses a direct threat to the health or safety of yourself and others and agree you will use the facility in accordance with all applicable public health requirements. It is your responsibility to consult with your physician to determine if any of these medical conditions exists and, if so, whether such condition poses a direct threat to the health or safety of yourself or others. ZAZAWA reserves the right, however, to make the final determination in this regard.
ADDITIONAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
We reserve the right to amend or alter these rules and regulations at any time in our sole discretion. All amendments to these rules and regulations are effective immediately. In accordance with your membership contract and these rules, we may revoke or suspend your membership if you fail to follow the rules and regulations or for any reasons of nuisance, disturbance, moral turpitude or fraud.
THIS IS AN IMPORTANT LEGAL DOCUMENT THAT REQUIRES YOU TO SURRENDER CERTAIN RIGHTS. READ AND UNDERSTAND IT.
Signed practitioner voluntarily assumes all risks and danger of personal injuries and all other hazards arising from or related in any way to practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at ZAZAWA Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Adrenalin for physical training co.). Practitioner expressly releases ZAZAWA Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, its owners, operators, all entities affiliated with the foregoing including employees, agents, students, members, and instructors, from claims arising from such causes. Practitioner hereby, and on behalf of successors, assigns, heirs, executors and/or administrators, gives up all rights to sue or make any claim for damages due to negligence or any other reason whatsoever against ZAZAWA Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Adrenalin for physical training co.) and associated persons and organisations. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is inherently dangerous. The practitioner agrees to comply with academy rules, assumes responsibility for participation, acknowledges payments are non-refundable, and confirms they are over 18 years of age or have a legal guardian sign on their behalf.
